  • Where do I park?

Street parking is available along Parsons Ave and Whittier. Find a spot, pay attention to the signs, and you’ll be good to go.

  • Can I Bring A Friend To Sit With Me?

Due to the size of our shop and the close proximity of artists and patrons, we only allow guests if there is sufficient space to do so. Otherwise, all guests will be asked to remain in our lobby or outside the shop (depending on available space).

  • How Do I Set Up An Appointment?

All appointments are set up in person. We require a consultation with an artist first, along with a deposit for the appointment. Consultations are free and available every day 12-8pm.

  • What About Deposits?

All deposits are non-refundable. To make an appointment at High Street Tattoo, we require a $50.00 to $100 cash or credit card deposit. You must provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. Deposits are deducted from the Sacred Hand day rate at the end of the appointment. For any tattoo that requires more than one session, the initial deposit will be held until the completion of the final appointment.

  • Can I Just Walk In And Get Tattooed?

We do accept walk-ins on a first come, first served basis. Walk-ins are not guaranteed.

  • What If I Am Late Or Miss My Appointment?

Our shop books appointments accordingly, so there is a seamless transition between clients in order to give time for the artist to prepare for each tattoo. If you are late or “skip” your tattoo appointment, you may forfeit your time slot and/or your deposit. Artist time is valuable. Cancellations mean the artist misses that time to tattoo because it was booked, meaning the artist will lose not only money, but the opportunity to tattoo someone who would’ve shown up for that appointment spot.

Tattoo Questions

Are Tattoos Safe?

As long as you go to a reputable artist that is following all recommended safety precautions, getting a tattoo is perfectly safe. Make sure you're fully honest about any medical conditions.

Does It Hurt?

Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain. We're not going to kid you, though—it does hurt. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling.", but people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad. We always believe that the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little bit of pain.

How Much Is It Going to Cost?

When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Pricing of a tattoo is dependent on size and detail of the design.

Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

Tipping is common in the service industry. It’s not mandatory, but is always appreciated.

This is a frequently asked question?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if I'm Sick?

No. Getting a tattoo when your immune system isn't at 100% isn't a good idea. Not to mention the fact that it's very inconsiderate to bring your illness into the tattoo studio and risk passing the germs onto others, particularly your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule for when you're feeling well again.

What Should I Get? And Where?

This is all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want, and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a picture off the wall, or you can have them create a custom piece just for you. Your only limit is your own imagination. Placement of your tattoo is completely up to you. Keep in mind the permanence of a tattoo when selecting where you'd like to wear it forever.

Is Tanning OK When You Have Tattoos?

It is definitely not ok to tan when you have a fresh tattoo. It would be best to wait at least a few weeks after getting tattooed before tanning. Direct sunlight for long periods of time will affect how a tattoo ages. Wear sunblock or keep your tattoo covered when you can.
